Th' stuff ya find when ya go through boxes...

First of all - HAPPY EASTER! It's a great, sunny day here in Boones Mill, VA, with a temp of around 80 degrees or so. This next week is spring break for us - double YAHOO!

Now to my main message...my husband cleaned out a storage spot we have in anticipation of storing more stuff (for an explanation of "stuff", see George Carlin). We are trying to clean out our tenant house because we'll be renting it in a few weeks. It is now crammed with Gill's art, art supplies, computers, etc., etc. Sooooo...he had cleaned out some space and wanted me to look at it. I immediately started going through boxes that have my sons' "stuff" from when they were little, like Justin's poetry about cats and Jason's report on France. Those things were great and brought a smile to my face, but the neatest thing this time, however, is that I found the inspiration for the name of this blog! Years ago (no, make that aeons ago), when I was still in college, I ordered a bumper sticker with "Oboe is a four letter word" on it because I liked it, my teacher had one, and oboe is, indeed, a four-letter word!! I always meant to put it on my car but never did. Well...I just happened to put my hand in the right place and there it was....my bumper sticker! I showed it to Gill and he said I should take a picture of it and put it on my blog. Since I don't know how to upload pictures, I may have to do this at a later date.

Anyway, I knew all my fans out there would be just thrilled to pieces that I found this bumper sticker!! This will be the talk of the town for weeks! :-)
